Can I have a summary of Burnett's "A little Princess"?
I need the summmary of Burnett's "A little Princess" by March 8, 2006 or else I'm toast. Can you help me?
It is the story of a little rich girl, the daughter of a military captain who is sent to a boarding school while her father is abroad fighting(the mother is dead). Things go alright for her until word is sent that her father is dead and then the woman who runs the boarding house shows her true colors and treats the little girl like a servant. The girl has to then give up all of her nice things and live in the cold and barren attic. But she refuses to believe that her father is really dead and keeps hoping for his return. Meanwhile she becomes friends with a servant girl and has dealings with the other snooty girls in the boarding school. She also meets an old gentleman in a roundabout way through the window of the attic by which she can see into his house, he gives her gifts. In the end of course her father is alive and all is well.
But it ia really impossible to summarize sufficiently here, you have 4 days, please go to the library and check it out, it is a good read. (And besides, there is no summary out there that is going to make it seem like you have read the actual book when you haven't.)
