Oooh I think it'd be very cute! I can picture it perfectly. I'm looking for a homecoming dress, maybe I'll think of yours when I go shopping. :D Lol. I think it'd be very cute, especially if you put your hair up in a bun or down in waves/curls. Love the dress! Have fun at your homecoming! Mine's October 18th. :) Don't overdo the accessories because the ribbon is patterned already though. :D

Fashion in the period 1700-1750 in Europe and European-influenced countries is characterized by an extension skirt loose silhouette for both men and women after high and close to see the 1680s and 90s. Wigs been crucial for men of substance and are often white, natural hair was powdered to achieve the fashionable look.

Distinction has been made in this period between the dress of the Court and for formal occasions and dress or everyday, clothes days. Over the decades progressed, fewer and fewer occasions called for full dress which had almost disappeared by the end of this century.

Stay or corset in the early 18 century was long-waisted and cut with a narrow back, broad forehead, and shoulder straps, remains the most popular from shoulders back until the shoulder blades almost touched. The resulting silhouette, with shoulders thrown back, his body position right and a very high percentage, chest full, characteristic for this period and no other.

The skirts were worn on small, domed hoops in the 1740s and early 1730s, who were displaced for formal court wear of circles Bags page or, later extended to as much as one meter on each side of the French court of Marie Antoinette.

The shift (chemise) or long-sleeved blouse full early period and tight, elbow-length sleeves in the 1740s as the sleeves of her dress narrowed. Drawers are not worn during this period.

Wool jackets were worn over the corset and the dress for warmth, and quilted petticoats with cotton wool.

Free-hanging pockets were tied around the waist and were accessed through pocket slits in dress or skirt.

Loose dresses, sometimes with a packaging or a surplice front closure, were worn over the shift (chemise), a skirt and stays (corset) for at-home wear, and it was fashionable to have his portrait painted in this very dress modes.

In the first years of this period, black silk hoods and dark, gloomy colors became fashionable in French court for older women, under the influence of Madame de Maintenon. Younger women were wearing bright colors or bright, but they preferred plain silk with minimal ornamentation.

Gradually, trim in the form of applied lace and fabric Robing (tape hives or tissues collected Pleated) has replaced the general style. Ribbon bows, lace and rosettes became popular, as did boldly patterned fabrics. A century of fashion among striped fabrics had the stripes running different directions at the base and the dress itself.

Indian cotton block-printed in bright colors on white grounds were wildly modern. The import ban that protect the silk industries in Colombia, flax and wool have done nothing to reduce their desirability. Brocaded silk and wool dyed models had similar floral motifs on a light color. Blends of wool and silk or wool and linen (linssey-Woolsey) became popular.

Men continued to wear jacket jacket and trousers of the previous period to end both to dress now sometimes used the same fabric and trim, and announce the birth of suits. Coats was about knee-high throughout the period.

Coats had no collars early stand-up collar and a little later. Oversized, turned back cuffs to the elbow extended. Vests stay long. Frock coats and jackets were trimmed with lace, embroidery or heavy; dress clothes had a similar cut but without the filling.

The dress was a sheath dress of English with a broad flat collar, derived from the coats worn by working men.

Shirt sleeves were full, gathered at the wrist and dropped shoulder. Dress shirts had plain wrist and a stock in the neck. Dress shirt had ruffles of fine fabric or lace at the wrists. Early period a black band called a solitaire was tied around the neck.

Leather shoes fastened with buckles, and were worn with silk or wool scratch. Socks continued to be worn over trousers, until 1730, when the trousers were often worn over the bottom. With this change, the garters replaced with loops on his pants taken down.

A loose cotton or T-shaped dress substance called a Banyan was worn at home as a sort of dressing gown over his shirt and trousers. Men of an intellectual or philosophical bent were painted wearing Banyan trees, with their own hair or a soft hat instead of a wig.
