Thomas & Friends - what do you think of the new animation?
Hey moms, have you noticed that some of the Thomas the Tank Engine episodes, show the trains actually talking and character people moving? If so, what do you think of the change?
I see them once in awhile on PBS at 7am EST.
I just bought my son a DVD that says on the bottom "All New CGI Animated Series"
Sir Topham Hat and the other "people" characters actually move around instead of looking like dolls. So far I know of 6 episodes like this.

It is easy to underestimate the educational benefits of playing time. When we become adults, most of us have been indoctrinated with the philosophy of no pain, no gain. But research shows that time to play the children can help develop important skills. Studies have linked playing pretend ready for children in mathematics; language skills, cognitive function, impulse control and problem resolution. Role playing is a crucial factor in the cognitive development of children.
